Ivan Fedorovich Kruzerstern - the man and a steamboat. Well, not exactly a steam boat, but this is a way I memorized this name watching Russian cartoons :-) Anyway, we had a pleasure to observe this wonderful Russian four masted barque, parked in North Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics. See more Pictures of Olympic Kruzerstern >>>

This weekend the weather in Van was pretty bad, so i spent some time messing around the house taking pics of random stuff in my improvised photography studio. As it turned out taking pics of small objects is a great fun, but the process takes a lot of time and requires extreme attention to details.
Yay!!! Even though it is raining today, we somehow managed to get the entire month of real summer weather here, in Vancouver. And finally, i started to sort out pictures of my little vacation. Those were taken at my favorite near by location - Burnaby mountain, which is a very nice place for watching sunsets.

As I promised the other day, I'm posting some pictures i took with Canon 50 1.8 Mark I. Well, it is a great little lens than can produce marvelous pictures if used properly + 50mm focal length is quite handy on FF camera. I will definitely get 35mm lens for a holy trinity set :-D of 35, 85 and 135 which will instantly make me best photographer evaaa... but for now i will try to get as good as i can with what i have. See more pictures of Vancouver ...
